This website is a home for my work in adolescent literacy. At the heart of that work is Literacy Lab—a secondary literacy intervention model and curriculum I developed by combining the Science of Reading with the Science of Learning to help older struggling readers become confident, capable readers.
After thirteen years teaching middle and high school English, I became a 6–12 literacy specialist searching for better ways to support students who continued to struggle with reading. What began as a desire to improve outcomes for my own students grew into a passion for helping educators bridge the gap between research and classroom practice.
Whether through consulting, professional learning, conference presentations, or instructional resources, my goal is to equip teachers, coaches, school leaders, and districts with practical strategies and systems that help more adolescent readers thrive.

Meet Faith
Faith is a passionate leader and educational consultant in adolescent literacy. With 17 years of experience in education, Faith has taught middle and high school ELA in three different states, as well as coached English and Social Studies teachers as a Director of Curriculum and Instruction. For the past four years Faith has served as a Literacy Specialist where she created “Literacy Lab,” an innovative 6-12 literacy intervention model that incorporates the Science of Reading to address gaps with foundational reading skills in a teen-friendly format.
She is a graduate of William Jewell College (2009) with dual bachelor’s degrees in Secondary Education and English, and the University of Wyoming (2021) with a Master’s in Curriculum & Instruction with an emphasis in English. Faith is a National Board certified teacher, a former Goyen Literacy Foundation Fellow, and a board member of The Reading League Wyoming.
One of Faith’s greatest passions is working with students who have been overlooked or left behind due to unsuccessful literacy attempts. Faith is dedicated to helping struggling adolescent readers succeed, bringing hope and tangible solutions to challenges that many educators face. She thrives on collaborating with teachers who are ready to innovate and support literacy growth at the secondary level.
Beyond her work in education, Faith is a dedicated wife, mother of two, and active community member. Originally from Kansas City, Missouri (Go Chiefs!), she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, playing competitive volleyball, and listening to podcasts or reading.
